About

I spent years working against my brain. Now I work with it.

I coach adults who are starting to see that the way their brain works makes sense, and that life can feel different.

Always a little out of step

I've always been a pattern-spotter. I notice what sits underneath things, and I feel other people's experiences deeply.

Some things were harder for me than they seemed to be for everyone else. Instructions that made sense to others didn't land. Social expectations felt like rules I'd never been given. It showed up in my school reports, and it followed me into work.

Over 20 years in senior roles across Risk, Strategy, IT and Programme Management, I did well. I built my own ways of getting things done long before I knew why I needed them, and over time colleagues started finding them useful too.

But most days, I had very little left by the time I got home.

The moment it made sense

Then a friend described what life was like inside their head, and I recognised myself.

That led me into research, to an ADHD diagnosis, and later an AuDHD one. For the first time, I understood myself. Understanding is what made acceptance possible.

What shifted

No wonder some things felt hard. That's how my brain is wired.

I'd been building strategies my whole life, and they work. I stopped feeling embarrassed about using them, and started seeing how clever my brain had been in finding its way.

I stopped feeling guilty about the rest I need after a big day or a social event. Now it's built into my week.

Life can feel different. Not by changing who you are, but by working with how your brain works.

How the work goes

In this order, because any other order doesn't hold.

01

Understand

Making sense of the what and the why underneath your feelings and behaviour. So it stops being a mystery.

02

Accept

A journey rather than a destination. Seeing your strengths alongside the things you've only ever counted as flaws.

03

Build

Strategies that fit the person you actually are, including the ability to pause in overwhelm and take a different path.

What changes

Knowing your worth, and being less willing to argue with it.

Not a phrase you repeat in the mirror. A baseline you stop negotiating down every time something goes wrong.

A solid foundation to get in touch with what you really want from life.

Once you stop arguing with how you're wired, there's room for a better question.

Tools and strategies for the things outside your control.

You can't redesign every room, deadline or person. What can change is how much they cost you.
